Merchants can now choose to display the actual product image for free product discounts instead of the default icon. You can also control the size of the image to better match your storefront design.

You now have more control over how free product discounts appear to customers. This update lets you replace the default discount icon with the actual image of the free product and adjust how large that image is displayed.

What’s changing

A new display option is available for free product discounts:

• You can choose to show the free product’s image instead of the default icon
• Once image display is enabled, you can select the image size to fit your storefront layout

The image size setting is only shown after enabling the Show image option, keeping the setup simple and uncluttered.

Why this matters

Showing the actual product image helps customers immediately understand what they’re receiving, reducing confusion and increasing perceived value. The added image size control also allows the discount display to blend more naturally with your store’s design, creating a clearer and more polished customer experience.
